1. About Cygnus Magazine - Cygnus Magazine is an online literary magazine dedicated to publishing creative works, including poetry, fiction, essays, and other literary content. We also organise writing contests and workshops, and may offer digital publications for sale.
2. Eligibility - By using our services, you confirm that: You are at least 18 years of age. You have the legal right to submit the work you provide. All information you provide to Cygnus Magazine is accurate and truthful.
3. Submissions - By submitting work to Cygnus Magazine, you confirm that: The work is original and written by you. The work does not infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights. The work has not been plagiarised or generated entirely by AI without disclosure, if applicable.
4. Rights - Authors retain copyright to their work. By submitting and being accepted for publication, you grant Cygnus Magazine: First digital publication rights, the right to display, archive, and promote the work on our website and social media. Previously published work may be rejected unless otherwise stated.
5. Contests - Cygnus Magazine may organise writing contests. By entering a contest, you agree to follow the rules listed on the contest page. Entry fees (if applicable) are non-refundable. Editors or designated judges select winners. Cygnus Magazine reserves the right to: Disqualify entries that violate contest rules. Cancel or modify contests if necessary. Judges’ decisions are final.
6. Workshops and Events - Cygnus Magazine may offer paid or free writing workshops. By registering, you agree to pay the listed registration fee, if applicable. You agree to participate respectfully. Refund Policy: Unless otherwise stated, Workshop fees are non-refundable after registration, except if the event is cancelled by Cygnus Magazine. Cygnus Magazine reserves the right to reschedule or cancel events if necessary.
7. Digital Magazine Purchases - In the future, Cygnus Magazine may sell digital issues or other literary products. By purchasing, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to read the digital content. Redistribution, resale, or uploading the content elsewhere is not permitted. All purchases are final unless technical issues prevent access.
8. Code of Conduct - Users of Cygnus Magazine must not: Submit plagiarised or stolen work, harass judges, editors, or other participants, attempt to manipulate contest results, or post or submit unlawful or harmful content. Violations may result in account suspension, submission bans, or contest disqualification.
9. Intellectual Property - All website content, including design, logos, branding, and magazine layout, belongs to Cygnus Magazine and Wix, unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce or distribute this material without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability - Cygnus Magazine is not responsible for: technical issues affecting submissions, lost entries due to internet or platform errors, delays or cancellations beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services, if applicable.
11. Changes to These Terms - Cygnus Magazine may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised date. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
